Mock up service

Thanks everyone for your kind comments on my photoshop mock up.

I have been thinking about setting up some sort of service, for me to offer other surface pattern designers a mock up service, putting their designs onto product, but I am not sure that it would be something people would be interested in, as most pattern designers can either use photoshop themselves or know someone that can.

Your feedback and thoughts on this would be gladly received. Or if any of you know of a service which is similar, I'd be interested in hearing about that too.

40!!!!!!!

I am happy today, because I now have 40 followers! Thank you so much to all of you, for spreading the word about my blog. I should be getting some more of my own work up in the following weeks, I've had to wait a few months until the client has produced what I have designed, but now I have permission to show them.

I've just come across an exhibition at Londons Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery, which is featuring textile artist Kate Jenkins crocheted portrayal of food. Whilst out shopping in Cambridge a few weeks back, I came across this lovely crockery in Whittards. I controlled myself and didn't buy them, but do you know what, I have been working so damn hard lately that when I get paid for all this work, I might just treat myself.

Macbook Pro

Hi Guys

I'm back. Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I have been snowed under with work, mainly designing licensed character watches :-) which has been a great project to work on and the people I have been working with/for have been great. I'll try to get some samples on here once they have been produced.

Since I have been away, I have treated my self to a gorgeous, new, Apple Mac Book Pro 15"! with an anti glare screen, so that hopefully, I can do some work outside when things calm down a little :-) I have never owned a laptop before, so it is taking a little time to work out the track pad etc.

I am also doing a detox at the moment, due to a number of health issues, it seems to be giving me more energy, but it's difficult going without Wheat, Dairy & particularly Sugar!

Anyway... back to work. Have a good day!

A lil break

Sorry for my lack of post today and lack of my own work being featured recently, I am in the middle of a big project which is ongoing and taking over my life at the moment, therefore I am going to take a break from blogging for a few days. I'll aim to be back this time next week if possible, when hopefully I'll be more on top of things.

Tax Calculator

I hope that you have all had a lovely weekend, I was working most of it because it's so busy here, but I can't complain, it's great to be busy. I did get to go to Ascot on Saturday and out to dinner for a friends birthday, so not all bad.

The other day I came across this tax calculator and thought it might be helpful to share, for you guys who are self employed, sole traders. You just add in what your takings are per month and it works it all out for you, so that you have an idea of what to put by, for when your tax bill arrives.

Today I seem to have an issue with uploading images, so I appologise for the lack of packaging themed post today... hopefully, all will be back to normal tomorrow. 

I am starting a detox today, so no sugar, wheat, red meat, alcohol or diary for me for a while! argh!!!!! wish me luck, I'm gonna need it :-)
