Charlotte Macey

I grew up in The Cotswolds from aged 12 - 16, I lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere, which when you are a teenager, isn't much fun, but I look back now and remember how peaceful and picturesque it was, I was a very lucky girl.

Designer Charlotte Macey also lives and works in The Cotswolds and I have just fallen in love with her work. She uses lovely natural fabrics, linens & cottons. She has just launched her Christmas range and you can find her Christmas shop here.

Here is some of her work.

I remember...

When I was little I used to have a trinket box with a blue butterfly on it, I have always loved butterflies and used to paint them when I was younger. Anyway, I recently came across this gorgeous brooch with a very similar image to the one that was on my trinket box, which bought back lovely memories. Life was so simple back then, what I wouldn't give to be back there for a few days.

You can find more of these lovely ceramics at the Folksy shop of Julia Smith. Take a look here
I also have a thing about bumble bees so this caught my eye too

Two-Twenty Corporate Identity design

Here is a sample of one of the projects I have been working on lately. Logo, Stationery & Leaflet design for a brand new high end business club opening in Cambridgeshire next month. I hope that you like it, I am pretty pleased with it and I got a lovely testimonial from my client which proves she is happy - which of course is the main thing :-)

Tough Times

Hi Guys

I hope that you had a good weekend. I am still really busy and going through a pretty tough time in my personal life at the moment with my health & a few other issues, so please forgive my less frequent posts.

I came across this lovely website based in the U.S. today! Here is  snippet of what they do - go check out some of their gorgeous goodies!

Dark Colour

I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday? I was working most of it, but I did take a trip to St Albans with my boyfriend and splashed out on a couple of lovely things from White Stuff - I could have bought half the shop, they have so much lovely stuff in there this Autumn. It's weird, as even though most of my patterns are bright or pastel in colour, I actually mainly wear autumnal colours - browns, aubergines, mossy greens, etc.

Here is a snapshot of what I bought

Foxi leaflet

I'm pretty busy at the moment and so I may have to limit my posts for a few weeks, however I just thought I'd show what I have been working on today. It is a promotional postcard for a local taxi company. Unfortunately they already had the logo, as I'd have loved to have come up with a different fox image, but I still think this is cute.

Can you help me please

I hope that you all had a good weekend.

I have recently been asked to quote on a job for a new client and I'm having problems coming up with a price as it's in an industry I haven't worked in before. The client has told me that they love my work, but I'm not competitive enough, if anyone can help, please email me on amanda@amandalincoln.co.uk

Thanks in advance

A x

My Studio

I'm one of those people who loves to see where other people work from. My studio isn't as perfect as some I have seen in books and on other blogs, but I consider myself lucky to have such a dedicated space to work from. My room is rammed full of materials, inspiration and my lovely mac.

If you'd like to show me your creative space, I'd love to see where you work from!
